Find us in Space Camp (Just follow the BOOOM!) 1-am-6pm daily

https://youtu.be/WBFpayHATk4

Dare you enter the dome of Noise? You must pass the Nose Test to get in, and then survive the Bass Buzz to get out. The Acousatron is a fully interactive sound installation; a monstrosity of an electro-acoustic noise machine, built from upcycled materials. It’s loud, weird and slightly scary in a good way. Come and make some noise and don’t forget your nose.

Warning: Deviant Audio

Aimed at children age 6+ but all are welcome.
No booking required.

Look out for our Audio Assault Buggy roaming the fields. If you get your 'Nose Tested' stamp at the Buggy, you can jump the queue to get into the dome...

Stage shows daily on the Space Camp stage

Friday 26th - 15:45 – Bass In Your Face
Saturday 27th  - 15:45 - 50 Million Tonnes
Sunday 28th - 15:45 – Bass In Your Face

1 March 24 – Eureka! Halifax; Home-ed day

12th December 2023 by

Date: 1st March 2024
All-day event
Location: Halifax
play.eureka.org.uk

Workshops for home-educated young people. Booking essential.

We will experiment with familiar instruments and unexpected ones. What does an egg slicer sound like? How about a slinky? A rubber band? A CD ROM drive? A mechanical violin? In groups we will explore the musical potential of everyday objects and strange Noisy Toys, then we will organise our sounds and create original music. Taking it in turns playing in different sections of our orchestra and conducting, beautiful music will flow! Or a horrendous cacophony maybe… This activity will be controlled by an experienced music leader, but it could get noisy at times so we will have a quiet space if needed.

Bass Buzz

Times: 45min sessions at 10:30am, 11:30am. 12:45pm, 1:45pm, 2:45pm, 3:45pm
Age range: 5yrs and over
