We’re looking for partners!
Next year we are expanding the range of workshops that we offer, which will be under the name of Scavenger Labs (our parent Community Interest Company).
We are looking for schools and other organisations to partner with to help us develop this programme, which will mean discounted rates in exchange for feedback and planning around the curriculum. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss this.
As well as providing the workshop facilitator and specialist equipment for your school, we will also be developing online resources and teacher training to assist you in running the activities in-house, and to make it possible for anyone in the world* to create the physical resources and benefit from our extensive experience of running these activities for 18 years. (* anyone in the world with access to e-waste and basic tools).
The current Scavengers, Buggy Battles & other workshops will still be available, although they will be further split into differentiated activities for different year groups. Some of the new workshops will be based on activities that we have already piloted, others are completely new. Here is a brief summary in no particular order:
- Scavengers
- Buggy Battles
- Sound & Circuits Year 4: specifically targeted for the National Curriculum around these tricky topics
- Brain cells: Neurons, Axons & Dendrites: Make & code a model of a brain cell with sensors & LEDs
- Music Improvisation
- Wonky Shonky Robots: build & code a wobbly dancing disco robot
- Scavengers
- DIY instruments
- music ensemble
- Crumble coding
