30 July – Media Museum, Broadcast 100: build a spark gap transmitter

18th July 2022 by

Date: 30th July 2022
Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am
Location: National Science & Media Museum, Bradford
www.scienceandmediamuseum.org.uk

Join us to explore the very first discoveries and uses of radio waves with a very simple feedback circuit. It makes a Buzz as it switches itself on and off very fast but we find that it is also transmitting radio waves. We might also make a robot chicken circuit along the way and maybe learn a bit of Morse code too.

Recommended for ages 10+ or with adult supervision
