social media

What, did you think that was a link to twitter, or facebook or something? Did you want to spend some more time dredging the crud that has sunk to the bottom of the collective psyche of our sorry little species? Ranting, barking, hate-filled echo-chambers. hmmmmm, great. Pick up a screwdriver and take something apart; you will feel a lot better for it.

Or not, just jump back in there; is that a good use of your time? If you take a step back and look at it, do you think this is doing us any good? Rich kids like Elon and watsisname are taking active control of world politics now- that sounds good eh? They’ve been doing it for some time and look how that’s been going, and do you know what feeds them? It’s us lot sharing our lives on their sordid platforms so STOP IT and do something useful instead. There is ample evidence of the damage that social media is doing to children and young people. We are an educational organisation, so we cannot support this sick industry even with the minimal traffic that our accounts ever achieved. Also, every time we use soc med we feel soiled.

Will we post anything about public events any more? Who knows. Just go to this website for info.

You could have learned Mandarin in the time you have wasted on these time-sucking soul-devouring platforms, maybe even learned to play a few instruments as well. I am sure it was worth it.

OK we’re keeping soundcloud and youtube for now as they serve some use, but even that we’re doing grudgingly, with a grumpy face (insert grumpy emoji).

Turn off, Log out, Wake up.
