I said ‘Shut It’
Mix of original audio, first released on Loskop Radio in 2022, now remixed in sections with extra road drill for 2024/2025. Part 4 released early Jan 2025.
This is quite strange. If you aren’t familiar with strange music, you might find it strange.
27 minutes. This mix is very minimal, so you might get bored. It’s atmospheric and dark, so you might get scared. It’s very deep, so please observe safety precautions if listening in the bath.
Caution: the first half goes very quiet at times, as we descend through the upper regions, but later in the dark depths the bass is low and powerful, so watch those woofers don’t blow.
Eternal Cosmic Heat Dissipation
Electroacoustic work, using 3D recordings of heat sinks and hacked hard drives in a big IBC tub.
Stand by your Manesta
A playful and interactive celebration of civil disobedience, inspired by the fascinating story of suffragette Evelyn Manesta.
The Acousatron
A Terrifying, Interactive, Upcycled Noise Contraption
The Noisy Toys mothership has been evolving and reincarnating since 2010. There’s plenty on this site about it, but nothing can prepare you for the chaos, the noise and the bass.
The Well Tampered Clavier
Live performance on the Discarnate Heart of the Acousatron installation; a very prepared piano, with a few bits & bobs and an impact driver. This performance at Manchester Theatre in Sound (MANTIS) festival in 2017 was also repeated in 2024.
The Gurgle Splosher
A playful and interactive sound-sculpture model of the water cycle.
Commissioned by The House of Fairy Tales for the Thames Festival in 2010.
Commissioned again in 2017 for Landlines and Watermarks, in partnership with 509 Arts.
