Zap! Fun with electricity

We start by linking together in a circle for a whole-class Nose Test. Everyone gets to press their neighbour’s nose to make a squeak. It’s guaranteed to make us laugh but

  • Nose Testing! Whole-class giant circuit with squeaky noses
  • getting electricity to work for us
  • safety with electricity
  • building circuits to make things happen
  • using water to help us understand current flow
  • easy-to-use circuit components in kit boxes

Clang! Noise Jam with DIY instruments

  • everyday objects as musical instruments
  • using microphones to find hidden sounds
  • learning to play beats in time together
  • improvisation games
  • conducting everyone else
  • soundscape; music to tell a story

Costs

– £400 day of workshops + optional show
– £250 half day + optional show
– £150 single show only, £75 each additional
– travel (at 30p X miles) may need to be added for jobs over 50 miles from HX7 but there are usually ways to reduce or avoid these costs, especially if you have flexibility with dates. Please get in touch to discuss how we can make this work for you.

– All workshops are led by Stephen Summers who is a qualified teacher with over ten years’ experience.
– Full enhanced DBS clearance.
– Full PLI insurance covers all workshops.
