What happens at the club?
This is not just about coding! We use code to make things happen in the physical world with programmable devices (Crumble, Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc), sensors, motors, lights and sounds. So while we will need to code, we will also use electrical and mechanical systems and make structures and enclosures for our inventions.
Monday 2 March: Sonic Pi – music coding
Sonic Pi is a brilliant, accessible, fun music coding tool that is free to download and use on PC or Mac.
Each week there will be a theme or a longer-term project that anyone can participate in. However this is a club and participants are free (encouraged) to develop and persue their own projects with facilitation where required. Also, there will always be something new to learn each week as a led activity, and the more experienced members will be encouraged to try new programming languages and work with new hardware, as well as to help the newer members.
